Our detached, simple but cozy cottage (built in 1959) is situated in a beautiful location in the dunes near the beach entrance to the beach pavilion ‘De Branding’ (between posts 10 & 11). From the terrace, you can look out over the dune valley ‘Klein Meisterplak’. The cottage has a spacious private area around which gives a lot of privacy. There is also plenty of space to park on site. With the wood-burning stove and central heating, it is also very comfortable in the winter.
We have been visiting Terschelling since our childhood and as a family for more than 20 years now. When we are not on Terschelling ourselves, we are happy to rent our house to others who can enjoy the island as much as we do.

Terschelling
Terschelling is an island where you can relax, walk, cycle, sunbathe on the widest beach, and enjoy all the flora and fauna in the polder (the Boschplaat), the mudflats or the woods. The island is not only a pleasant place to stay in good weather, but also in winter. Visit the charming villages or watch the boats sail in and out of the natural harbor.
Midsland
From the cottage in Midsland aan Zee, it is just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. The bus stop to Midsland and West-Terschelling is 2 minutes away. The village of Midsland is a 2.5 km bike ride away and offers a supermarket, restaurants and a charming shopping street around the historic church. For groceries, you can go to Midsland (Plus), Formerum (Jumbo), or West-Terschelling (Spar).
Food and drinks
Terschelling offers a wide range of places to eat and drink, from beach pavilions and cafes to restaurants and lunchrooms. You can enjoy a simple meal, a quick snack, or an extensive dinner. Local products such as cranberries and fresh fish are often on the menu. There is also plenty of choice across the island for a cup of coffee or a drink on the terrace.

What time can I check in and out?
On the day of arrival, you are welcome to check in at our cottage from 3:00 PM. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to leave the cottage by 11:00 AM at the latest.
Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed in our cottage.
Am I required to rent a linen package?
Yes, this package includes a bottom sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, hand towel, and bath towel. It also includes 1 kitchen package with a kitchen towel, tea towel, dishcloth, and garbage bag.
